The washing process of denim fabric mainly includes the following :
general wash : this is the most basic washing method, through the water temperature of 60°-90°C and the right amount of detergent for about 15 minutes of washing, then add water and softener, make the fabric more soft and comfortable, visually more natural and clean
stone wash/stone grinding : Add pumice stone to the washing water, and wash the water through the friction between the pumice stone and clothes. The water level should be controlled at a low level that the clothing is fully saturated to ensure full contact between the pumice stone and the clothing. This process can be selected according to the needs of different stones, such as Yellowstone, white stone, etc., to achieve different washing effects
enzyme wash : Uses cellulase to degrade fiber structures at specific PH and temperature conditions, naturally fading the cloth surface, creating a "peach skin" effect and bringing long-lasting softness. Enzyme washes can be used alone or with stones, the latter being called enzyme stone washes
sand wash : With the help of alkaline and oxidizing additives, the clothes can produce a certain fading effect and old feeling. If used with a stone mill, it will also form a soft frosted white fluff on the surface of the fabric. In the process of sand washing, it is very important to choose the right expanding agent and sand washing agent. By reasonable matching of sand powder with different shapes and hardness, the ideal sand washing effect can be created
chemical wash : through the use of strong alkali additives to achieve the purpose of fading, washing clothes have obvious old feeling. If stones are added to the chemical washing, it is called fossil washing, which integrates the effect of chemical washing and stone washing in one, enhancing the fading and wear effect
bleach wash : after ordinary washing, heating to 60 degrees, according to the depth of bleaching color add appropriate amount of bleach, make the clothes white or bright, and have a soft feel
destroy wash : through pumice grinding and auxiliary treatment, some parts of the clothes will be damaged to a certain extent, and the clothes will have a more obvious antiquated effect
snowflake wash : the dry pumice stone is soaked with potassium permanganate solution, and then polished directly with the clothing in a special rotating cylinder, so that the surface of the clothing appears irregular fading effect, forming irregular white spots similar to snowflakes
